Erdogan: We Seek to Provide All Kind of Support to Investors

The Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan participated in the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization (ASCO) summit in Istanbul as part of the commemoration of the 25th anniversary of the Organization’s establishment.

"The most important factor for the prosperity of trade and investment in Turkey is stability and calmness," Erdogan said in a speech.

Erdogan stressed the importance of developing and evolving the Black Sea region and said that there is a prevailing atmosphere in the region characterized by stability, peace, and prosperity, which is the main objective of Organization’s countries.

Erdogan added that all the countries of the region, whom are met at the same table in the light of the common denominators is one of the most important successes of the Organization, despite the existence of many differences between these countries on many issues.

Erdogan said there could be political and even military problems in the region, but it would not affect the organization to work in the best possible way if it remained isolated from the problems.

Erdogan pointed out that the volume of trade and investment between the countries of the Economic Cooperation Organization of the Black Sea, is below a desirable level, stressing the need to search for ways and methods to benefit more from the potential of the Organization’s work area.

The Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization (BSEC) includes members of several Black Sea coastal countries - Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania, Ukraine, Georgia, and Russia - along with Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Greece, Moldova, and Serbia.
