Istanbul topped the list of states that witnessed a significant increase in the rents of their homes, as it is the major destination for tourists, entrepreneurs, and students from inside and outside Turkey, and the rates of increase in rent have varied clearly between the different areas of Istanbul.

An overview of home rents in Istanbul districts

According to a news item published by Amlak Kulesi real estate newspaper; Istanbul districts were classified according to their apartment rental prices by categorizing the rent value of a 2+1 apartment on an upper floor in an ordinary 10-year-old building in various areas of Istanbul.

According to the data contained in the aforementioned news, the municipalities of Besiktas and Bakirkoy topped the Istanbul regions in terms of the apartment rent that was adopted as a model, as the rent of a 2+1 apartment in these two areas amounted to nearly 4000 TL, and Kadikoy came in second place, where the rent of a 2+1 apartment was 3,750 TL, followed by the Sile and Sariyer regions, where the rent of a 2+1 apartment was about 3,000 TL.

While the cheapest areas of Istanbul for rent, it was topped by the regions: Arnavutkoy, Silivri, and Sancaktepe, in which the rent of a 2+1 apartment was about 1,000 TL, followed by Tuzla, where the average rent for a 2+1 apartment was about 1,000 TL. Approximately 1,100 TL, and the Catalca, Esenyurt and Beykoz regions came in third place, where the rent of a 2+1 apartment in these areas amounted to approximately 1,250 TL.
