Russian Federal Council Intends to Discuss the Gas Project “Turkstream"

Russian Federal Council intends to discuss the project “Turkstream" gas transportation agreement, at the beginning of February next year, that is according to a statement issued by the Council.

The Turkish and Russian governments have already signed the agreement that is related to the project in October / Last October.

The agreement includes two pipelines construction, both of them pump about 15.75 billion cubic meters of gas annually, so it is supposed that the first pipeline should cover the Turkish market needs, while the second pipeline will be used to transport gas to Europe, where it is expected that the first pipeline will start working by 2019.
