Prices for housing in Antalya are still low and affordable compared to other tourist destinations in Europe. This is why many Europeans prefer to buy a property in Antalya rather than stay at hotels. There are different types of property for sale or rent in Turkey; prices vary depending on where you live, your financial situation, and the type of property you want. It is important to note that tenants pay for municipal services such as electricity, telephone, internet, and water. These costs should be added to the monthly rent.

Electricity bills for 2-bedroom apartments in Antalya are 80 to 200 lira per month and there is no standing charge; you only pay for what you use. A major factor contributing to high electricity bills is air conditioning units that consume a lot of power, so some residents opt to install stand-up fans or ceiling fans instead—although newer inverter-type air conditioning units are more economical to run than older models.

Food and drinks

There are many restaurants in Antalya. You can get a typical fast food meal at McDonalds or BurgerKing for around $10 and a cheeseburger for about $3. For coffee lovers, cappuccino coffee is $6 and espresso is $4.

Clothing and Shoes

The Turkish city of Antalya is a bustling metropolis with shopping opportunities at every turn. Big modern shopping malls and supermarkets are located throughout the city, and one of the most convenient is the Mall of Antalya, which is just minutes away from the airport. This modern shopping center offers everything you need for your holiday or business trip in Antalya: from Turkish souvenirs to exquisite Italian shoes and designer clothes.

Residency and Healthcare

The Ministry of Health, universities and the private sector provide most of Turkey's medical care. Many medical centers in Turkey are accredited by international organizations including the JCI (Joint Commission International), ISO (International Organization for Standardization), and the JCAHO (The Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations).  Universal Health Insurance is governed by Social Security Institution (SGK). It provides comprehensive, fair, and equitable access to health services for all insured and uninsured individuals in our country. If you think of applying for private insurance, there are many insurance companies with many affordable policies.

Residency and Healthcare

Health insurance

A health insurance policy will cover most situations, such as emergencies, pregnancy and hospitalization. In Turkey, enrolment in Social Security Institution (SGK) is compulsory for all citizens. You can contact the nearest social security center to register yourself or you can call 131. Social Security Institution offers healthcare services in state hospitals only, but sometimes the queues are long. However, there are private hospitals that provide healthcare services at lower costs than state hospitals and with shorter waiting times.

Taxes

The Turkish tax system is based on residency. The same principle applies to individuals and businesses. For example, an individual must live in Turkey to be considered a tax resident. However, companies must have their headquarters registered in a Turkish city in order to be considered tax residents. Tax residents are taxed on their worldwide income in Turkey. Non-residents are only taxed by the local authorities on income made in Turkey. In order to prevent double taxation, Turkey has signed agreements with many countries and regions around the world.

Transportation

Antalya is served by the D-400 highway, which connects all of the city's main entertainment points and attractions with its downtown area. Therefore, you don't need to worry about how to get anywhere – there are plenty of buses that can get you where you want to go and if you wish you can rent or buy a car. In any case, transportation in Antalya is not difficult at all and you can easily move from one place to another.

Public transport

Antalya has several transportation options for getting around. You can take the tram, a public bus or a water bus for relatively short distances. The buses are great for going places further away from the city center, and you can also use them to walk around on. Tourists generally like using these methods of transport because they provide a pleasant journey experience as well as crossing the sights

Taxi

Getting a taxi in Antalya is simple. You can either call for one, go to a taxi stand, or flag one down from the side of the road. If the taxi is available, the taxi sign on top of the car will flash. For further information on transportation in Antalya, we recommend you to read our article.

In a nutshell, the cost of living in Antalya depends mainly on your lifestyle and how frequently you eat out, whether you are living in a rented home or in your own place nad most importantly your income.

The cost of living in Antalya is much lower than in many European countries because the average salaries are lower. If you're a resident foreigner, you'll find yourself paying less for things, which can lead to a better quality of life overall.

The average rent for a one-bedroom apartment in the City Center neighborhood is $255.19.
