Turkey: 1.8 million properties sold during the first seven months of 2022

The number of real estate sale transactions completed in the General Directorate of Land Registry and Land Survey and its sub-departments and departments during the first seven months of this year reached 1,826,242 sales transactions.

Moreover, the volume of income resulting from the title deed expenses of the aforementioned sales transactions reached 21,019,026,186 TL.

According to the data related to the sales of the seventh month of this year, issued by the General Directorate of Land Registry and Real Estate Survey in Turkey, the statistical figures recorded the completion of 222,578 real estate sale transactions during the mentioned month.

The volume of income resulting from the title deed expenses of real estate sale transactions during the seventh month of this year amounted to 2,603,208,003 TL.

Residential apartments are the best-selling real estate

With regard to the types of real estate that were sold during the first seven months, the apartments ranked first among the types of real estate sold during the mentioned period, with 798,870 apartments sold.

Agricultural lands ranked second with the sale of 496,015 agricultural lands, and construction lands came in the third place with the sale of 314,002 building lands, while commercial real estate came in the fourth place with the sale of 84,750 commercial properties, and real estate sales of other types amounted to 141,605 real estates during the first seven months of this year.

In the details of the figures related to the classification of sales according to the states, Istanbul topped the Turkish states that sold the most real estate during the first seven months, with sales of 240,644 properties, followed by the Turkish capital, Ankara, with sales of 123,861 properties, while Izmir ranked third with sales of 99,994 properties.
