In Turkey: How Important Is to Obtain a Work Permit in the Real Estate Trade?

According to the legal regulation governing the real estate business in Turkey, all individuals and companies working in the field of real estate trade must obtain a work permit in the real estate business.

The deadline for obtaining this document is set for December 5, 2019. After this date, disciplinary measures will be applied to individuals and companies engaged in real estate work without this document.

Under Article 2 of the Tabu Law, owners of companies engaged in the sale of real estate and their representatives must obtain permission to sell and buy when they do real estate business.

The permit authorizes the holder to sell the properties and lease them on behalf of their owners upon their request.

Will virtual offices get a work permit in the real estate business?

The real estate investment business in Turkey is organized into a special legal regulation. In accordance with this regulation, unlicensed real estate activities will be prohibited. In addition to the activities of the management of complexes, such as those that you create a site to sell real estate in Turkey without specifying the location and without matching the conditions.

December 5, 2019 deadline was set for those wishing to obtain a work permit in the real estate business. After that date, the financial sanctions will be applied and those who do not hold the permit will no longer be able to carry out their real estate activity.

This document will be specific to each company and valid for five years. Validation forms will be downloaded from the ttbs. All documents attached to the application will be uploaded and fully filled out.

After selecting the type of company from the site, you must download the Real Estate Trade Certificate and Registration Documents in the Chamber of Commerce. It then should be sent after downloading from the website to be checked by the inspectors of the Ministry of Commerce. If there are problems, the document is given to the owner who can after this work in the real estate field.

What are the conditions for obtaining a work permit in the real estate business?

The institution must comply with the general conditions of the law:

- To be registered in the Chamber of Commerce.

- Be charged with income tax or corporate tax.

Corporate representatives or branch managers must have:

- The person who wants to take the permit must be 18 years of age.

- Must have at least a high school diploma.

- Have a certificate of competence in the field of real estate or real estate management.

- Not to be bankrupt.

- Not subject to judicial judgment.

- Not be sentenced to any commercial or industrial penalty.

Note: Anyone who works in real estate without having a work permit in the real estate business will be fined 4000 Turkish lira, whether the violator is a person or a company.
