Filling the travel form as a condition to enter Turkey

For those wishing to come for tourism in Turkey, many new preventive measures have been taken, which have changed according to the spread of the Coronavirus, as these measures ensured the continuation of travel movement to and from the country to a large extent.

Filling in the entry form to Turkey is a condition before traveling

Since the spread of the Coronavirus in the country, the Turkish government continues to take many preventive measures to mitigate the seriousness of this virus and limit its spread in the country.

In order to ensure safe travel for all travelers to and from the country, filling in the online travel form was the last of these preventive measures announced by the Turkish official authorities, represented by the Ministries of Interior, Transportation, and Health.

Therefore, it has become a condition for every traveler who intends to visit Turkey to fill in a special form, as of March 15, and after filling the travel form, and after entering all the data, the HES code will be given to the traveler; which facilitates the procedures for access to Turkey, and transportation and shopping inside the country, and provides the highest possible medical care for him or her, in case they are infected with the Coronavirus.

This form contains a collection of data about the traveler, relating to personal information, contact data, address, access to the country, place of residence, as well as data about the countries that the traveler recently visited.

The Ministry of Health confirmed that all passenger data is protected under the Personal Data Protection Act of the Turkish Constitution and does not participate with any other entities except the relevant ministries.

The travel form must be filled out 72 hours before the scheduled date of the traveling, and filled through a private website (the link can be accessed from here) or through the application issued by the Turkish Ministry of Health "Hayat Eve Sığar" available on all online stores.

Filling the form to protect yourself and your loved ones

The Turkish Ministry of Health stressed the importance of this form by announcing that "The form is protection for yourself and your loved ones, and in order to be able to provide you with correct information about the Covid-19 pandemic during your time in Turkey, it is very important that the information be correct and up-to-date".

The Ministry of Health explained that through the information filled in the form, the passenger's HES code is automatically specified, and thanks to the HES code we can also reach you if you are infected with the virus.

The Ministry of Health warned against taking legal and administrative penalties against passengers if the form is verified to be filled with incorrect information.

In addition, Turkish embassies and representatives around the world have published guidelines for travelers in various languages, with a view to their being followed by travelers before traveling to Turkey, as part of the new procedures imposed by the Ministry of Health.

It should be noted that since the beginning of this year, Turkey has imposed on all travelers arriving in Turkey a corona test and a negative test showing that they are not infected with the Coronavirus, issued in the last 72 hours.
