A new high-speed metro line to Istanbul Airport will open by April 2021. The new line will transport passengers from Gayrettepe, in Sisli on the European side of Istanbul, to the new airport in just 35 minutes.
The metro will extend 37.5 kilometers, include nine stations, and will be the fastest metro line in the country with a speed of 120 kilometers per hour.
The line is expected to serve about 600,000 Istanbul residents daily.
