The value of Saudi imports from Turkey increased to 833.6 million riyals (222.28 million dollars) in August 2020, up from 693.4 million in July 2020, according to the Saudi General Authority for Statistics, making Turkey the ninth largest exporter to Saudi Arabia.
Official data showed that total Saudi exports increased by more than 12% to about 15.3 billion dollars in August compared to July 2020, but exports to Turkey fell to 879.4 million riyals from 966.4 million riyals in July 2020.
According to the latest figures from the Turkish Ministry of Trade website, Turkish exports to Saudi Arabia between January and August 2020 reached 1.9 billion dollars, a decrease of 400 million dollars compared to the same period in 2019, when Turkish exports to Saudi Arabia reached 2.3 billion dollars.
As for the figures of Saudi exports to Turkey during the same period between January and August 2020, they amounted to 1.1 billion dollars, after being 1.44 billion dollars in the same period in 2019, also a decrease of 350 million dollars.
