Turkey finishes manufacturing its own aircraft by 2023

The manufacturing of the local Turkish aircraft TF-X is going on by leaps and bounds, as the designs for the Turkish aircraft TF-X, which will be the first Turkish aircraft manufactured locally, are done. Roketsan Foundation, which holds the mission of producing the aircraft cited above, confirmed that they are also working on manufacturing smart missile system, which will be completed in conjunction with the completion of manufacturing the aircraft TF-X. Furthermore, TF-X is going to be equipped with this air-to-air missile (AAM) system, which is one of the most important defense systems in the aircrafts.

According to “Ak?am”, a local newspaper, the designs are successfully completed, and the work is on progress to manufacture this aircraft. Besides, the preliminary flying model will begin in 2023. Moreover, and it is likely that the TF-X is going to be in the Turkish army service before 2030 at most.

Ak?am also cleared that the foregoing aircraft is going to be used instead of the American crafts F16. TF-X will be manufactured locally by local potentials, starting from its electronic system and engines ending with its defensive system. The newspaper also emphasized that the Roketsan Foundation, which holds the mission of producing the up mentioned aircraft, also holds the mission of producing the missile system of this aircraft.
