Turkey ranks first in Europe in terms of real estate sales in 2021

An unprecedented achievement was achieved by real estate sales in Turkey after it topped the European continent with the sale of 1.5 million properties in 2021.

Turkey is the first in Europe in real estate sales during 2021

Turkey ranked first on the European continent in terms of real estate sales, after achieving the sale of nearly 1.5 million properties during 2021.

Through the sale of 1,492,000 properties, real estate sales recorded the second-highest peak ever in 2021, while the first record in real estate sales was recorded in 2020 with the sale of 1,499,316 apartments.

Istanbul topped all Turkish states in terms of achieving the largest number of real estate sales in Turkey, after it recorded the sale of 276,223 properties, accounting for 18.5% of the total real estate sales in Turkey.

For his part, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of "Fodul" Real Estate Company, Mr. Mehmet Iqbal, said in a statement to Anadolu Agency: "Turkey has topped the European countries in real estate sales."

Iqbal added: "Turkey topped Europe in real estate sales by selling about 1.5 million housing units, and the closest European country that sold 1.3 million housing units in Britain."
