Apartment sales to foreigners in Turkey increased by 33% in August 2022!

According to data issued by the Turkish Statistics Authority, the number of apartments sold to foreigners during the month of August of this year 2022 reached 5,273 apartments. Thus, apartment sales to foreigners in Turkey achieved an increase of 33.33% compared to sales in July 2022.

An increase of about 45% during the first 8 months of 2022

The percentage of foreign sales of apartments in Turkey during August of this year 2022, amounted to 4.3% of the total general sales of apartments throughout Turkey.

As for the total sales of apartments to foreigners during the first eight months of this year 2022, it amounted to 44,595 apartments, achieving progress of 44.6% compared to sales of apartments to foreigners during the same period last year 2021.

Antalya tops the Turkish states that sell the most to foreigners

In the details of the issued data, the state of Antalya ranked first among the Turkish states that sold apartments to foreigners during August 2022 with the sale of 1,814 apartments.

Istanbul came in second place with the sale of 1,750 apartments, and the state of Mersin ranked third with the sale of 317 apartments.

Russians are at the forefront of the most purchasing nationalities

With regard to the classification of foreign nationalities according to their purchases of apartments in Turkey, the Russians ranked first as the most foreign nationalities buying apartments in Turkey in August 2022 with the purchase of 1,238 apartments, followed by the Iranians in the second place with the purchase of 633 apartments, while the Iraqis ranked In third place, with the purchase of 417 apartments.
