Europe is the largest investor in Turkey!

Foreign investments in the Turkish market between 2016-2020 amounted to 33 billion and 348 million dollars, according to data issued by the Central Bank of Turkey.

European investments rank first

In the details of the report, about the geographical distribution of sources of direct investments in the Turkish market during the mentioned period, investments coming from Europe occupied the first place.

As the volume of European investments in Turkey during the mentioned period amounted to 21 billion and 526 million dollars, accounting for 64.5% of the total foreign investments in the Turkish market.

Asian investments come second

The investments coming from Asia came in second place after Europe, as the volume of these investments during the mentioned period amounted to 8 billion and 773 million dollars. While the investments coming from the countries of the Near and Middle East amounted to 5 billion and 682 million dollars.

Dutch investments in the lead

According to the data of the Central Bank of Turkey report on the distribution of investments in Turkey by countries, Dutch investments ranked first among the most valuable foreign investments in Turkey.

As the value of Dutch investments in Turkey during the past five years amounted to 5 billion and 365 million dollars, accounting for a share of 16.1% of the total foreign investments in Turkey during the mentioned period.

English investments came in second place with a volume of 3 billion and 95 million dollars, followed by Azerbaijani investments in third place, amounting to two billion and 928 million dollars.

In the context of the data of the Central Bank of Turkey report, the volume of foreign investments in Turkey during the first eight months of this year amounted to 3 billion and 441 million dollars.

Dutch investors ranked first among foreign investors this year with investments amounting to 599 million dollars, followed by American investors with investments totaling 566 million dollars.

English investors came in third place, with investments amounting to 395 million dollars. The first five ranks were as follows:
