More than 6,000 apartments sold in Turkey to foreigners in April 2022

Apartment sales to foreigners in Turkey made progress in the percentage of sales in April at a rate of 58.1%, and growth during the first four months of this year by 49%, follow the details through Imtilak Real Estate company.

Residential sales to foreigners increased by 49% during the first four months

According to data issued by the Turkish Statistics Authority, the number of apartments sold to foreigners in April of this year reached 6,447 apartments, achieving an increase of 58.1%, compared to sales of the same month last year 2021, and recording the highest monthly sales for April during the last three years.

The percentage of foreign sales in March of this year reached 4.8% of the total general sales of apartments throughout Turkey.

As for the sales of apartments to foreigners in Turkey during the first four months of this year, it amounted to 20,791 apartments, achieving an increase of 48.9%, compared to sales of apartments in Turkey to foreigners, during the same period last year.

Istanbul tops the Turkish states that sell the most to foreigners

In the details of the data, the state of Istanbul ranked first among the Turkish states that sold apartments to foreigners, in April 2022, with the sale of 2,564 apartments, achieving progress of 14.2% over its sales to foreigners in March of this year.

Antalya came in second place with the sale of 1,970 apartments, achieving progress of 37.3% over its sales in March of this year, and the Turkish capital, Ankara, came in third place with the sale of 333 apartments.

Russians rank first among the top buyers of nationalities

Regarding the classification of foreign nationalities according to their purchases of apartments in Turkey, the Russians ranked first for the first time in years as one of the most foreign nationalities buying apartments in Turkey, in April 2022, with the purchase of 1,152 apartments.

The Russians came in second place, the Iranians, with the purchase of 905 apartments, and the Iraqis came in third place, with the purchase of 714 apartments. The purchase numbers of the 20 nationalities who purchased the most were as follows:
