Turkey ranks third in the world in the list of major international contractors

After China and the United States of America, contracting companies in Turkey were able to enter the list of major international contractors strongly and managed to achieve third place at the global level.

In the list published by the American Engineering News-Record magazine, which included the largest 250 international contractors around the world for the year 2021, Turkey ranked third after China, which topped the list with 78 companies, and the United States of America, which ranked second with 41 companies.

The Turkish Federation indicated that the magazine relied, in evaluating companies, on contractors' revenues from their work outside their countries during the previous year, after 40 local companies were included in the mentioned list.

According to the Turkish Contractors Association, Turkey's share of the global market for construction companies amounted to 4.4%, at $18.3 billion, placing it eighth in the ranking of countries in the world.
