Turkey's furniture exports record revenues of more than $3 billion
Turkish furniture exports made a new record after the value of revenues for this sector reached $3.07 billion, during the first nine months of this year 2021.
According to data issued by the Union of Furniture and Paper Exporters in Istanbul, Turkish exports of furniture achieved a growth of 20%, during the period between January - September 2021, compared to the same period last year, while Turkey's exports of furniture during September only $385.6 million.
The United States of America is at the forefront of importers of Turkish furniture
Regarding the list of countries with the highest imports of Turkish furniture, the United States of America topped the ranking table in terms of export volumes, followed by France and Britain.
In an interview with Anadolu Agency, Mr. Ahmet Gülaç, head of the Furniture and Paper Exporters Union in Istanbul, said that the sector continues to grow despite the challenges of the Coronavirus epidemic and the high prices of raw materials.

In his speech, Gülaç indicated that many leading international companies in this field have started production in Turkey, especially in the wake of the Coronavirus epidemic.
Speaking about the goals they aim to achieve, Gülaç stressed that they are striving to make Turkey among the world's top 5 furniture producers and exporters by 2023.
