Turkish construction companies’ sales amounted to 621 billion TL in 5 years

In a report entitled "Sector Budget 2021", the figures contained therein revealed a steady increase in sales of Turkish construction companies during the mentioned period.

Increase in total sales by 113.6% over the past five years

In the details of the figures contained in the report, the total sales amounts of companies operating in the Turkish construction sector at the end of 2016, amounted to 290,647,203,000 TL, and at the end of the year they reached 361,205,985,000 TL, and at the end of the year 2018 to 436,111,145,000 TL, and at the end of the year 2019, it amounted to 484,971,657,000 TL.

Despite the difficult economic conditions imposed by the spread of the Coronavirus, construction companies in Turkiye succeeded in exceeding 500 billion in sales, which amounted to 503,862,784,000 TL at the end of 2020, while the total sales of companies operating in the construction sector amounted to 620,768,301,000 TL. Thus, the total sales of construction companies increased by 113.6% over the past five years.

Foreign sales achieve 50 billion in five years

In the details related to the internal and external sales of companies operating in the construction sector in Turkiye, the internal sales of the sector companies increased from 266.7 billion to 558.7 billion TL during the past five years. While the foreign sales of the sector companies increased from 18.9 billion to 50.5 billion TL during the mentioned period.

The other revenues generated by the subsidiary business related to sales of construction companies increased from 5.1 billion to 11 billion TL during the mentioned period.

Real estate companies are making remarkable progress in their sales

The above-mentioned report monitored the sales of companies operating in the real estate sector closely related to the construction sector. The statistical figures contained in it recorded an increase in the value of sales of companies operating in the real estate sector from 16.1 billion to 53.9 billion TL during the past five years.

At the same level; the total internal sales of companies operating in the real estate sector increased from 15 billion to 51.4 billion TL. As for foreign sales, they increased from 171.2 million to 773.1 million TL during the past five years.

The financial assets of these companies also witnessed a noticeable increase during the mentioned period; the volume of these assets increased from 110.1 billion TL to 317.7 billion TL, achieving an increase of nearly three times.
