Progress in apartment sales to foreigners in Turkey by 63.19% during July 2024

The Turkish Statistical Institute announced that apartment sales to foreigners in Turkey recorded a 63.19% increase, reaching 2350 apartments in July 2024. Antalya topped the Turkish provinces with the highest real estate sales to foreigners, with Russians leading among the foreign nationalities purchasing properties in Turkey.

Apartment sales to foreigners achieve a 63% increase in July

According to data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute, the number of apartment sales to foreigners in Turkey during July this year reached 2350 apartments, achieving a 63.19% increase compared to the previous month’s sales and the highest monthly sales figure to foreigners this year.

The percentage of sales to foreigners during July this year was 1.8% of the total general apartment sales across Turkey, while the total number of apartments sold to foreigners during the first seven months reached 12,811 apartments.

Antalya leads Turkish provinces in sales to foreigners

In the detailed data, Antalya ranked first among Turkish provinces in apartment sales to foreigners during July 2024, with 878 apartments sold.

Istanbul ranked second with 752 apartments sold, and Mersin ranked third with 218 apartments sold.

Russians top the list of most purchasing nationalities

Regarding the ranking of foreign nationalities according to their purchases of apartments in Turkey, Russians ranked first among the most purchasing foreign nationalities in Turkey during July 2024, with 485 apartments purchased. They were followed by Ukrainians in second place with 171 apartments purchased, and Germans in third place with 162 apartments purchased.
