The Turkish market continues to attract foreign investors month after month and year after year, especially since real estate investment in Turkey has witnessed a comprehensive renaissance on all levels in recent years. This has been accompanied by the issuance of a package of laws that attract foreign investors to its various sectors.
The real estate sector in Turkey, which has received a significant share of the economic boom, has become a focal point for investors from all over the world. In addition, the Turkish real estate sector has received the largest share of laws encouraging investment, the most important of which are tax reductions and the granting of Turkish citizenship in exchange for investing in a property worth $250,000.

Real Estate Investment in Turkey 2022
Foreign real estate investment in the Turkish property market achieved record numbers last year, which observers, experts, and those interested in the real estate sector considered the golden year for investments in the Turkish real estate sector. Many foreign nationalities stood out in their interest in Turkish properties.
Iranians were among these nationalities, standing out in the monthly statistics for foreign property purchases from Turkey, achieving second place among the top investing nationalities in Turkish properties in general, and especially in residential apartments.
This is due to the geographical, cultural, and religious proximity that Iranians share with their neighbor Turkey. In addition, many fleeing political unrest in their country have found refuge in Turkish citizenship, which is granted through real estate investment in Turkey.
According to statistics published by the Turkish Statistical Institute, Iranians purchased 5,423 residential apartments in Turkey last year, accounting for nearly 12% of total foreign purchases of residential apartments in Turkey. This means that out of every 8 residential apartments sold to foreigners in Turkey, one was purchased by Iranians.

Iranians Prefer Buying Apartments in Asian Istanbul
Istanbul still holds the top spot among Turkish provinces for foreign interest in real estate investment, thanks to its many advantages, including its central geographical location, a blend of modernity with history, authenticity, and charm, contemporary architectural style, and the best comfort amenities through a series of luxurious residential and commercial projects with the highest contemporary standards. In addition, there are opportunities for increased property investment value.
Experts and those interested in the real estate sector indicate that Iranians prefer the Asian side of Istanbul for their real estate investments, especially residential apartments. Experts attribute this to the fact that most Iranians work in trade and prefer projects on the Asian side, which offers many advantages, in addition to the tranquility of the area, which is less populated, and the availability of transportation connecting it to vital areas in Istanbul.
Like other foreign investors, most Iranian investments are for obtaining Turkish citizenship and acquiring the Turkish passport, which is highly powerful and allows entry to more than 71 countries without a visa.
Experts also expect Iranians to advance to first place among the top foreign nationalities investing in the Turkish real estate market in 2022.
