Turkey: Increase in apartment sales to foreigners during November of this year

According to data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute, the number of residential apartments sold to foreigners during November of this year reached 6,083 apartments, marking an increase of 13.13% compared to the sales of residential apartments to foreigners in the previous month of the same year.

The percentage of foreign sales during the tenth month of this year accounted for 5.2% of the total residential apartment sales throughout Turkey. Meanwhile, residential apartment sales to foreigners during the past 11 months of this year reached 61,104 apartments, showing an increase of 20.4% compared to sales to foreigners during the same period last year.

Antalya tops the Turkish provinces with the highest sales to foreigners

According to the details of the official data announced, Antalya ranked first among Turkish provinces in terms of the highest sales of residential apartments to foreigners during November 2022, with 2,616 apartments sold. Istanbul came in second place with 1,733 apartments sold, and Mersin ranked third with 567 apartments sold.

Russians top the list of nationalities buying the most apartments

Regarding the classification of foreign nationalities according to their purchases of residential apartments in Turkey, Russians ranked first as the top foreign nationality buying residential apartments in Turkey during November 2022, with 2,575 apartments purchased. Iranians came in second with 510 apartments purchased, and Iraqis ranked third with 331 apartments purchased.
