Apartment sales to foreigners in Turkey increase by 27%!

According to data issued by the Turkish Statistical Institute, the number of residential apartments sold to foreigners during October 2022 reached 5,377 apartments, marking an increase of 6.5% compared to the sales of residential apartments to foreigners in the ninth month.

The percentage of sales to foreigners during the tenth month of 2022 accounted for 5.2% of the total general sales of residential apartments throughout Turkey.

As for the sales of residential apartments to foreigners during the first ten months of 2022, it reached 55,021 apartments, achieving an increase of 26.9% compared to the sales of residential apartments to foreigners during the same period of the previous year 2021.

Antalya returns to the top of Turkish provinces with the highest sales to foreigners during October:

According to the details of the data, Antalya regained the lead among Turkish provinces with the highest sales to foreigners after losing it in the ninth month to Istanbul. Antalya ranked first among Turkish provinces in terms of residential apartment sales to foreigners during October 2022, with 2,123 apartments sold.

Sales to foreigners in Istanbul apartments ranked second with 1,658 apartments sold, while Mersin ranked third with 490 apartments sold.

Russians top the list of nationalities buying the most:

Regarding the ranking of foreign nationalities according to their purchases of Turkey apartments, Russian citizens ranked first as the most foreign nationality buying residential apartments in Turkey during October 2022, with 2,023 apartments purchased.

Iranians ranked second with 498 apartments purchased, while Iraqis ranked third with 310 apartments purchased. The figures for purchases by the top twenty nationalities were as follows:
