Turkey: More than 28,000 residential apartments sold during the first 9 months of 2023

Foreign sales of residential apartments in Turkey saw remarkable growth in September 2023, as sales of residential apartments to foreigners in Turkey exceeded 28,000 units during the first nine months of this year, according to statistics issued by the Turkish Statistical Institute. Turkey sells 2,930 residential apartments to foreigners in the ninth month of 2023

According to data issued by the Turkish Statistical Institute, the number of residential apartments sold to foreigners during the ninth month of this year reached 2,930 units. The percentage of foreign sales during September 2023 was 2.9% of the total general sales of residential apartments in Turkey. As for sales of residential apartments to foreigners in Turkey during the first nine months of this year, they reached 28,064 units.

Antalya tops the Turkish provinces in sales to foreigners

In detail, Antalya ranked first among Turkish provinces in terms of residential apartment sales to foreigners during September 2023, with 1,007 apartments sold. Istanbul came in second place with 978 apartments sold, and Mersin ranked third with 211 apartments sold.

Russians top the list of nationalities buying the most

Regarding the classification of foreign nationalities according to their purchases of residential apartments in Turkey, Russians ranked first as the top foreign nationality buying residential apartments in Turkey during September 2023, with 722 apartments purchased. They were followed by Iranians in second place with 327 apartments, and Iraqis in third place with 191 apartments. The purchase figures for the top twenty nationalities were as follows:
