Real estate sales in Turkey during the sixth month of 2023

Official data released by the General Directorate of Land Registry and Cadastre in Turkey recorded the completion of 208,424 real estate sales transactions during June 2023. The income generated from land registry fees related to real estate sales during that month amounted to 3,669,976,566 Turkish liras.

Residential apartments are the most sold type of property

In the details related to the types of properties sold during the sixth month of this year, residential apartments ranked first among the most sold property types. According to the data from the General Directorate of Land Registry and Cadastre, the number of residential apartments sold reached 80,504, representing 39% of the properties sold during the same month.

Agricultural lands came in second place, with 66,057 agricultural lands sold, accounting for 32% of total real estate sales. Building lands ranked third, with 37,619 building lands sold, making up 18% of total real estate sales. Commercial properties ranked fourth, with 8,572 commercial properties sold, representing 4% of overall real estate sales. Meanwhile, sales of other types of properties during the sixth month of this year reached 15,672 properties.

Istanbul topped the Turkish provinces in real estate sales

Regarding the distribution of real estate sales across various provinces in Turkey, Istanbul ranked first among the Turkish provinces in real estate sales during last June, with 23,859 properties sold, representing 11.4% of total real estate sales in Turkey during that month.

The Turkish capital, Ankara, came in second place, with 13,095 properties sold, accounting for 6.2% of total real estate sales in Turkey. Izmir ranked third, with 9,699 properties sold, representing 4.7% of total real estate sales in Turkey during the sixth month of this year.
