An increase of 81.8% in sales of apartments to foreigners in Turkey in June 2022

Sales of apartments to foreigners in Turkey made records in June of this year, follow the details with us through Imtilak Real Estate company.

Residential apartment sales to foreigners hit a record high in June 2022

According to data issued by the Turkish Statistics Authority, the number of apartments sold to foreigners in June of this year reached 8,630 apartments, achieving an increase of 81.8% compared to sales of the same month last year 2021, and recording the highest monthly sales during the past three years.

The percentage of foreign sales during June of this year reached 5.7% of the total general sales of apartments throughout Turkey.

As for the sales of apartments in Turkey to foreigners during the first six months of this year, it amounted to 35,383 apartments, achieving an increase of 72.7% compared to sales of apartments to foreigners during the same period last year.

Istanbul tops the Turkish states that sell the most to foreigners

In the details of the data, the state of Istanbul ranked first among the Turkish states that sold apartments to foreigners in June 2022, with the sale of 3,906 apartments.

Antalya ranked second with 2534 apartments sold, and Mersin came third with 428 apartments sold.

With regard to the classification of foreign nationalities according to their purchases of apartments in Turkey, the Russians ranked first as the most foreign nationalities buying apartments in Turkey in June 2022 with the purchase of 1,887 apartments.

Followed by the Iranians in the second place with the purchase of 987 apartments, and the Iraqis in the third place with the purchase of 807 apartments, and the purchase numbers of the twenty nationalities that purchased the most as the following table:
