Home sales and prices in Turkey during the third quarter

Under the title "Used Homes Market Report," the report on used home sales for the third quarter of the current year was released, which is prepared periodically in cooperation between the Association of Real Estate Consultants (TÜGEM) and the Endeksa real estate platform.

This report monitors the overall home sales across Turkey, in addition to changes in home prices during the studied period.

Used home sales accounted for 69% of total sales

According to the data in the report, used home sales across Turkey during the third quarter of the current year reached 227,128 used homes, representing 69% of total home sales during the mentioned period, which amounted to 330,795 homes.

Used home sales during the third quarter saw a decrease of 18% compared to used home sales in the third quarter of last year.

As for new homes, their sales during the third quarter of this year reached 58,284 homes, accounting for 18% of total home sales in Turkey during the mentioned period.

The increase in home prices exceeded 200%

Regarding the annual increases in home prices in the third quarter of this year, the annual increase in home prices across Turkey reached 202% during the year before the end of the third quarter of the current year.

As for the annual increase in home prices in Turkish provinces, Antalya ranked first among the provinces with the highest annual increase, where the annual rate for Antalya home prices reached 244%, and the average price per square meter reached 17,123 Turkish lira at the end of the third quarter of the current year.

Mersin ranked second with an annual increase of 243% during the year before the end of the third quarter of 2022, where the average price per square meter in Mersin homes reached 10,923 Turkish lira, followed by Istanbul in third place with an annual increase of 241%, and the average price per square meter in Istanbul homes at the end of the third quarter of this year reached 20,208 Turkish lira.
