Investments Worth 21 Billion Turkish Liras in the Marmara
The Minister of Environment and Urbanization of the Republic of Turkey, "Faisal Araoglo," declared that the Ministry is in the process of making investments worth 21 billion Turkish liras in the Marmara region, through establishing many lakes, parks, and dams.
The minister added that the ministry will work on the instructions of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to start several mega projects in the Turkish Marmara region, which includes many major cities in its structure, which the city of Istanbul comes at the forefront.
He said that the ministry has sent its work plan for the next six months and added that after completing the specific projects within six months, the ministry will pass to the second part of the plan, which will include another six months, adding that the ministry is in the process of preparing a new package of projects in 2019, and until 2023.
The volume of investments to be made in the Marmara region will reach 21 billion Turkish liras and many mega projects in the region will be worked out, Minister Araoglo said.
The new projects will include many drinking water facilities, lakes, dams, gardens, and forests, and in this context 14 dams and lakes will be built.
