Istanbul is set to host the Turkish-Saudi Business and Investment Forum

After the meeting between President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman last June in the capital Ankara, Turkish-Saudi relations have taken an upward trajectory, and trade cooperation between Turkey and Saudi Arabia has witnessed significant growth amid improving diplomatic and economic relations between the two countries.

Istanbul to Host Turkish-Saudi Business and Investment Forum on Wednesday

In the context of the developing relations between the two countries, Istanbul will host the Turkish-Saudi Business and Investment Forum next Wednesday, organized by the Turkish Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEİK), in cooperation with the Turkish Ministry of Treasury and Finance.

According to information released in this statement, the Turkish-Saudi Business and Investment Forum will be held on December 21 and 22, with the participation of Turkish Treasury and Finance Minister Nureddin Nebati, Saudi Investment Minister Khalid Al-Falih, as well as senior officials, businessmen, and investors from Turkey and Saudi Arabia.

The Forum Aims to Raise Bilateral Trade Volume Between the Two Countries to 10 Billion Dollars

In a related context, the organizers of this statement said that the Turkish-Saudi Business and Investment Forum primarily aims to take strong steps towards increasing the volume of bilateral trade between the two countries to 10 billion dollars, and to ensure that the Turkish private sector plays a leading role in the major projects that Saudi Arabia will launch as part of its Vision 2030.

On the sidelines of the forum, seminars will be held on the future of construction and real estate between Turkey and Saudi Arabia, the possibility of benefiting from regional opportunities, and innovation in the agriculture and food sectors. There will also be sessions and seminars to discuss new cooperation opportunities in bilateral trade, investment in Turkey, and to introduce Saudi Vision 2030 and the mega projects in the Kingdom.
