Apartment sales exceed 83,000 units in Turkey during June 2023

More than 83,000 apartments sold in Turkey during the sixth month

According to statistical data issued by the Turkish Statistical Institute TÜİK: Apartment sales in Turkey during June of this year reached 83,636 apartments.

The statistical figures also recorded the sale of 565,779 apartments throughout Turkey during the first six months of this year.

Istanbul tops the list of provinces with the most sales

In the details of the data, Istanbul ranked first among Turkish provinces in apartment sales during June of this year, with 13,578 apartments sold, accounting for 16.2% of the total apartment sales in Turkey during the mentioned month.

Following Istanbul in second place is the Turkish capital Ankara, with 7,325 apartments sold, accounting for 8.8% of total sales.

Next in third place is Antalya with 4,503 apartments sold, accounting for 5.4% of the total apartment sales in Turkey during the sixth month of 2023.

Sales figures for the top ten provinces in apartment sales during the sixth month were as follows:

As for the provinces with the lowest apartment sales in Turkey during the sixth month of this year: Ardahan province topped the list with 17 apartments sold, followed by Hakkari province with 29 apartments sold, and then Tunceli with 44 apartments sold.

New apartment sales approach 26,000 units in June

In this context, the statistics provided some important information worth noting:

• Sales of new apartments during June of this year reached 25,886 units.
• The share of new apartment sales was 31% of the total apartment sales in Turkey during the sixth month of this year.
• The statistical figures also recorded the sale of 171,158 new apartments during the first half of this year.

• As for used apartments, their sales during June of this year reached 57,750 units.
• The share of used apartments sold during the mentioned month was 69% of the total apartment sales in Turkey during the sixth month of this year.
• Sales of used apartments during the first half of this year reached 394,621 units.

Sales of mortgaged apartments

Regarding sales of mortgaged apartments, the number of mortgaged apartments sold in Turkey during June of this year reached 13,463 units, and the share of mortgaged apartments sold was 16.1% of the total apartments sold in Turkey during the sixth month of this year.

Meanwhile, sales of non-mortgaged apartments during the sixth month of this year reached 70,173 units, accounting for 83.9% of the total apartments sold in Turkey during the sixth month of this year.
