Erdogan: Turkey is among the countries most attractive for freehold property ownership in the world

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan Recep Tayyip Erdogan pointed out in a public speech in the Kasimpasa district of Istanbul that Turkey is among the countries most attractive for Freehold real estate ownership in the world.

He explained in this regard that real estate sales to foreigners in Turkey flourished, reaching a value of thirty-five billion dollars during the Justice and Development Party governments since 2002.

He confirmed that the construction and housing sector in Turkey holds a prestigious position in the country.

It is well known that the real estate sector in Turkey has witnessed record growth recently, as 1.4 million residential apartments were sold in Turkey in 2018 alone!

In another election rally for the ruling Justice and Development Party in the Esenyurt district of Istanbul, the Turkish president also announced that technical studies for an unprecedented three-level tunnel project in the world have already begun.

Erdogan explained that the tunnel will allow seventy-five thousand passengers per hour to pass through its railway line.

He also indicated that the car lanes inside the tunnel will allow one hundred and twenty thousand cars to pass in a single day!

The Turkish president confirmed that the project will be implemented in cooperation with the private sector, according to the "build-operate-transfer" system, noting that the technical studies for the project will be completed during the current year 2019.

It is worth mentioning that the Grand Istanbul Tunnel project consists of a three-level tunnel, one of which is dedicated to the train, and it is planned to pass under the seabed in the Bosphorus Strait in Istanbul.
