Erdogan: Turkey Is Among the Most Attractive Countries for Real Estate Ownership in the World
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said in a public speech in Istanbul's Kasımpaşa district that Turkey is among the most attractive countries in the field of real estate ownership in the world.
Foreign property sales in Turkey have seen a boom of $ 35 billion during the AK party ruling since 2002, he said.
He stressed also that the construction and housing sector in Turkey occupies a high position in the country.
The real estate sector in Turkey has witnessed record growth in recent times, with 1.4 million apartments sold in Turkey in 2018 only!
At another election rally for the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) in Istanbul's Esenyurt district, the Turkish president also announced that the technical study of an unprecedented three-story tunnel project in the world had already begun.
Erdogan explained that the tunnel will allow the passage of seventy-five thousand passengers per hour across the railway line inside it.
He also clarified that the roads dedicated to cars inside the tunnel will allow the crossing of one hundred and twenty thousand cars per day!

The Turkish President stressed that the project will be implemented through cooperation with the private sector, according to the system of "construction and operation and then transfer the ownership to the state," noting that the work of the technical study of the project will finish during the current year 2019.
Istanbul Grand Tunnel project is a three-story tunnel, one of which is dedicated to the train and is planned to pass under the seabed in the Bosphorus Strait in Istanbul.
