Turkey: Selling more than 10,000 apartments to foreigners in the first half of 2024

The Turkish Statistical Institute announced that the sales of residential apartments to foreigners reached 1440 apartments in June 2024, with Antalya leading the Turkish provinces in property sales to foreigners. Russians ranked first among the foreign nationalities purchasing properties in Turkey.

Turkey witnesses the sale of 10,461 apartments to foreigners in the first half of the year

According to data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute, the sales of residential apartments to foreigners in Turkey during June of this year reached 1440 apartments.

The percentage of sales to foreigners during June of this year was 1.8% of the total general sales of residential apartments in Turkey overall, while the total number of apartments sold to foreigners during the first six months was 10,461 apartments.

Antalya leads the Turkish provinces in sales to foreigners

According to the details of the data, Antalya ranked first among the Turkish provinces in the sale of residential apartments to foreigners during June 2024, with 593 apartments sold.
Istanbul ranked second with 478 apartments sold, and Mersin ranked third with 116 apartments sold.

Russians top the list of most purchasing nationalities

Regarding the ranking of foreign nationalities based on their purchases of residential apartments in Turkey, Russians ranked first as the most purchasing foreign nationality of residential apartments in Turkey during June 2024, with 332 apartments purchased, followed by Iranians in second place with 156 apartments purchased, and Ukrainians in third place with 102 apartments purchased.
