Turkey: Selling more than 5,000 apartments to foreigners during the first 3 months of 2024

Turkey: 5,685 apartments sold to foreigners during the first three months

According to data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute, the number of sales of apartments to foreigners in Turkey during March 2024 reached 1,778 apartments.

The percentage of real estate sales to foreigners in Turkey during March 2024 was 1.7% of the total general sales of apartments in Turkey, while the total apartments sold to foreigners during the first three months of this year reached 5,685 apartments.

Istanbul leads Turkish provinces in sales to foreigners

In the details of the data, Istanbul ranked first among the Turkish provinces in terms of sales of apartments to foreigners during March 2024 with 652 apartments sold.

The second place was occupied by Antalya with 618 apartments sold, and Mersin ranked third with 151 apartments sold.

Russians top the list of nationalities buying the most

Regarding the ranking of foreign nationalities according to their purchases of apartments in Turkey, Russians ranked first as the most foreign nationality buying apartments in Turkey during March 2024 with 411 apartments purchased, followed by Iranians in second place with 182 apartments purchased, and Ukrainians in third place with 129 apartments purchased.
