Recording the highest monthly number in residential apartment sales in Turkey during March 2024 after the number of sales reached more than 105 thousand apartments in various Turkish provinces, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute.

Apartment sales achieve their highest monthly number in March 2024

According to statistical data issued by the Turkish Statistical Institute TÜİK, residential apartment sales in Turkey during March of this year reached 105 thousand and 394 apartments, achieving a progress of 12.23% compared to residential apartment sales in Turkey generally during the previous month, and the highest monthly number of general apartment sales during the current year.

The statistical figures also recorded the sale of 297 thousand and 604 residential apartments across Turkey during the first three months of this year, and below is a chart illustrating the number of real estate sales in Turkey of residential apartments during the first three months of the current year:

Istanbul leads the provinces with the highest sales

In the details of the data, Istanbul ranked first among Turkish provinces with the highest residential apartment sales during March of this year, with the sale of 19 thousand and 40 apartments, representing 18.1% of the general residential apartment sales across Turkey during the mentioned month.

Following Istanbul in second place was the Turkish capital Ankara, with the sale of 9 thousand and 523 apartments, representing 9% of the general sales, followed by Izmir in third place, with the sale of 6 thousand and 413 apartments, representing 6.1% of the general residential apartment sales across Turkey during the third month of 2024.

As for the provinces with the lowest residential apartment sales in Turkey during the third month of this year, Ardahan topped the list with the sale of 23 apartments, followed by Hakkari with the sale of 42 apartments, and then Bayburt with the sale of 55 apartments.

New apartment sales reached 34 thousand and 399 apartments during the third month of 2024

In a related context, new residential apartment sales during March of this year reached 34 thousand and 399 apartments, with a progress of 4.6% compared to new apartment sales during the same month of last year.

The percentage of new apartment sales was 32.26% of the general residential apartment sales in Turkey during the third month of the current year.

As for used residential apartments, their sales during March of this year reached 70 thousand and 399 apartments, with the percentage of used apartments sold during the mentioned month being 67.4% of the general residential apartment sales in Turkey during the third month of this year.

Mortgaged apartment sales during the third month of 2024

Regarding mortgaged apartment sales, the number of mortgaged residential apartments sold in Turkey during March of this year reached 12 thousand and 880 apartments, with the percentage of mortgaged apartments sold being 12.2% of the total apartments sold in Turkey during the third month of the current year, while non-mortgaged apartment sales during the third month of this year reached 92 thousand and 514 apartments, representing 87.8% of the total apartments sold in Turkey during the third month of the current year.
