Turkey sells 17,090 apartments to foreigners since the beginning of 2024.
According to data from the Turkish Statistics Institute, the number of apartments sold to foreigners in September 2024 alone amounted to 2,022.
The percentage of real estate sales to foreigners in September 2024 reached 1.4% of total apartment sales across Turkey, while the total number of apartments sold to foreigners in the first nine months of the year reached 17,090.
Istanbul ranks as the top Turkish province for property sales to foreigners.
According to detailed data, Istanbul ranked first among Turkish provinces in selling apartments to foreigners in September 2024, with 783 apartments sold.
Antalya ranked second, with 548 apartments sold.
Mersin came third, with 210 apartments sold.

In terms of foreign nationalities buying apartments in Turkey, according to data gathered by Imtilak Real Estate from Turkish Statistics Institute:
Russian citizens ranked first as the largest group of foreign buyers in September 2024, purchasing 346 apartments, followed by Iranians in second place with 163 apartments, and Iraqis in third place with 139 apartments. The top ten nationalities’ purchase figures are as follows:

- In total, 140,919 properties were sold in Turkey in September 2024, of which 2,022 were sold to foreigners, as mentioned earlier.
- In comparison, in the same month in 2023, total sales reached 102,656 properties, with 2,930 sold to foreigners.
- In September 2022, total sales were 113,402 properties, while 5,049 were sold to foreigners.
