The total value of agreements signed between Turkey and the United Arab Emirates during the recent visit of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to Abu Dhabi reached 50.7 billion US dollars.
According to the official statement issued by the Communications Directorate of the Turkish Presidency, the announced value resulted from the signing of 13 joint agreements between the two countries, covering various fields and sectors.
The visit of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to the United Arab Emirates yesterday, Wednesday, July 19, comes as a culmination of the active diplomatic movement that has marked relations between the two countries in recent times.
The understandings reached between the two countries in previous periods have led to positive progress and a qualitative leap in the growth of Turkish-Emirati relations, reaching a strategic level that has significantly impacted cooperation between the two states in various fields and sectors.
This visit also follows several reciprocal visits between the presidents of the two countries and high-level delegations within short periods of time, as President Recep Tayyip Erdogan previously visited Abu Dhabi last February.
In the same context, the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, paid an official visit to Turkey on June 10.
Therefore, Erdogan's latest visit came to reaffirm the relations that have taken a positive and rapidly ascending path, reaching the level of comprehensive strategic and economic partnership between the two countries, following the agreement to establish a high-level strategic council led by the Turkish and Emirati presidents.
The recent visit of the Turkish president to the UAE was characterized by the friendly atmosphere exchanged between the two leaders, as Erdogan gifted Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed a luxury "Turkish TOGG" car, locally manufactured, while the Emirati president awarded the Turkish president the country's highest honor (the Zayed Medal), which is awarded to important figures, kings, and presidents.
