How to obtain a green Turkish passport?

The procedures for issuing a green Turkish passport are no different from the normal passport, except that it is exempt from fees. In addition to the need to write a letter requesting this passport to the Ministry of Interior.

The mentioned passport can also be obtained within approximately 4 days after completing the sending of the required documents, which are:

1. Green passport application addressed to the Ministry of Interior.
2. Personal identity card.
3. Two biometric photos, not more than 6 months old
4. Old passport, if any.
5. Legal approval for minors or disabled citizens.
6. If the applicant is retired, a document must be available showing his employment status at the time of retirement.
7. If he resigns from his position, a document must be available showing his employment status during the period in which he worked.

What is the cost of obtaining a Green Turkish Passport?

There are no costs for issuing or renewing a green passport in Turkiye, but only the notebook fees must be paid. The green passport fee for 2022 has been set at 225 TL only.
