The m² price will increase by 109% in Turkey in 2021

The Center for Economic and Social Studies at Bahçeşehir University in Istanbul conducted a study on apartment price changes in Turkey in 2021.
The study was conducted on the database of -sahibinden.com- one of the most famous websites specialized in publishing advertisements for selling and renting real estate in Turkey.
The results of the study were published in a report titled: February 2022 Report "an overview of the residential apartments for sale market in Turkey".

Significant increase:
According to the data contained in the aforementioned report, the selling prices of residential square meters in Turkey during the year, starting from January 2021, witnessed an increase of 1.109%.
As the average price per square meter of housing in all of Turkey reached 7,496 TL.
This figure was almost twice the average price per square meter in apartments across Turkey for January 2021, which had reached 3,584 TL.
Istanbul apartment prices increased by 127%!
In the data related to the major states of Turkey, Istanbul ranked first among these states with an increase of 127.5% during a year from January 2021, bringing the average price per square meter in Istanbul apartments to 10,900 TL.
While the capital, Ankara, ranked second, with an increase of 97.71%, as the average price per square meter in Ankara apartments reached 4,888 TL.
Mersin apartments prices increased by 141.3%!
In the classification of the thirty largest states in Turkey, Mersin ranked first among these states in terms of increasing the prices of apartments with an increase of 141.3% within one year, starting from January 2021, and the average price per square meter reached 5,730 TL.
Istanbul came in second place with an increase of 127.5% and an average price per square meter reached 10,900 TL, while the state of Aydin came with an increase of 124.1% and the average price per square meter reached 9,166 TL.

States with the lowest annual rate of increase:
As for the major states that witnessed the lowest annual increase in prices per square meter, Van state topped the list with an annual increase of 71.3%, and the average price per square meter was 3,833 TL.
The state of Malatya came in second place with an annual increase of 73.9% and an average price of 3,795 TL, and the state of Erzurum came in third place with an increase of 75.8% and an average price of 3,039 TL per square meter.
