House prices in Turkey increase by 196.8% year-on-year

Under the title "A Look at Apartment Prices During the Ninth Month of the Current Year," the Center for Economic and Social Studies issued its periodic report monitoring changes in apartment prices through a statistical study of data from the sahibinden.com website, one of the most prominent electronic sites in the field of real estate marketing in Turkey.

According to the data in the mentioned report, the average price per square meter of apartments across Turkey during the ninth month of this year reached 13,766 Turkish lira, achieving an annual increase of 196.8% in just one year.

Istanbul Leads Turkish Provinces in Apartment Price Increases

In the details regarding the annual increase rates in apartment prices in the three largest Turkish provinces, Istanbul ranked first among these provinces with an annual increase rate of 229%, where the average price per square meter in Istanbul apartments reached 20,588 Turkish lira during the ninth month of this year.

After Istanbul, the Turkish capital Ankara came in second place with an annual increase rate of 205.6%, and the average price per square meter in Ankara apartments during the ninth month of this year reached 9,307 Turkish lira.

The third place went to the province of Izmir, where the annual increase rate in its apartment prices reached 183.1%, and the average price per square meter in its apartments during the same month reached 15,455 Turkish lira.

The Highest Annual Increase Was in Mersin Province

As for the classification of Turkish provinces according to the annual increase rates witnessed in apartment prices, Mersin ranked first among the Turkish provinces that saw the highest annual increase rates, where the annual increase rate in Mersin apartments reached 239.8%, and the average price per square meter reached 11,500 Turkish lira during the same period.

Istanbul came in second place after Mersin with an annual increase rate of 229.4% and an average price of 20,588 Turkish lira per square meter, followed by Antalya in third place with an annual increase rate of 229%, where the average price per square meter in Antalya apartments during the ninth month of this year reached 16,875 Turkish lira during the ninth month of this year.
