More than one million real estate transactions were made during the first 5 months of 2022

According to the data received from the General Directorate of Land Registry and Real Estate Survey of the Ministry of Environment, Urban Planning and Climate Change, 276,376 real estate sales were made last month, with revenues amounting to 3 billion, 302 million and 160 thousand Turkish liras and 42 piasters of title deeds fees, and in light of these numbers issued, we must ask the following question:

How many real estate deals were made during the first five months of this year?

During the first five months of this year, 1,271,971 real estate sales were made, with revenues amounting to 13 billion and 778,047,730 TL of title deeds fees.

The month of May recorded a decrease of 3.7% in the number of sales compared to April, with 287,072 real estate sales made.

It is worth noting that 1,271,971 real estate sales were made between January and May 2022 in all of Turkey, with sales revenue reaching 13 billion and 778 million and 47 thousand and 730 TL. We find that these numbers are distributed over the following properties:

• 562,896 home sales transactions.
• 216,582 land deals.
• 340,403 deals for the fields.
• 59,917 deals for workplaces.
• The rest of the deals were for other properties.

Istanbul is at the forefront of the Turkish states with the largest number of sales

Istanbul has achieved the largest number of real estate sales in Turkey, with 170,692 real estate sales recorded. The rest of the Turkish states that achieved the largest number of real estate sales are listed in the following table:
