Istanbul accounts for 42% of apartment sales to foreigners in Turkey

According to data issued by the Istanbul Statistics Office regarding sales of apartments in Istanbul during the first ten months of this year, it amounted to 205,000 apartments, while sales of apartments in Istanbul during October of the current year 2021 amounted to 26,000 apartments.

Significant progress

Sales of apartments in Istanbul during the first ten months of this year increased by 16.9% compared to sales for the same period last year. Istanbul sales during the first ten months amounted to 18.9% of the total sales of apartments throughout Turkey.

Mortgage apartment sales record 24.4%

Within the framework of the data issued by the Istanbul Statistics Office, sales of mortgaged apartments amounted to 6,344 apartments, achieving 24.4% of apartment sales in Istanbul.

While sales of non-mortgage apartments amounted to 19,656 apartments, achieving 75.6% of apartment sales in Istanbul during October of this year 2021.

About 64% of Istanbul apartment sales are in the European section

As for the distribution of sales in the two parts of Istanbul during October of this year 2021, the sales of apartments in European Istanbul achieved 63.9% of the sales of apartments in Istanbul, reaching 16,330 apartments, registering progress of 14.4% compared to sales in October of the last year 2020.

As for the Asian side, sales of apartments during October of this year amounted to 9,620 apartments, an increase of 22.5% compared to sales of the Asian side in October of the last year 2020.

Monthly sales are the highest in all years

According to data issued by the Turkish Statistics Authority, sales of apartments in Istanbul during October of this year amounted to 2,464 apartments, achieving 41.8% of apartment sales to foreigners throughout Turkey.

The sales of Istanbul apartments during October of this year 2021 achieved the highest number of foreign sales during October of all past years.

Foreign sales throughout Turkey also achieved great progress in the tenth month of this year 2021, amounting to 12.1% compared to sales in October of the previous year 2020.
