Apartment sales in Turkey| An increase of 25.1% during January 2022

The sales of apartments in Turkey during January of this year amounted to 88,306 apartments, achieving an increase of 25.1% compared to sales of apartments in the same month of the previous year.

Istanbul is the most Turkish state selling apartments

According to statistical data issued by the Turkish Statistics Authority TÜİK, Istanbul ranked first among the Turkish states that sold apartments during January of this year with the sale of 15,110 apartments and a rate of 17.1% of the general sales of apartments throughout Turkey during the mentioned month.

The Turkish capital, Ankara, came in second place, with 8,255 apartments sold, and 9.3% of public sales, followed by Izmir, with 5,486 apartments, and 6.2% of general sales of apartments throughout Turkey in January 2022.

As for the states that sold the least apartments in Turkey during January of this year, the state of Ardahan topped the list with the sale of 12 apartments, followed by the Hakkari state with the sale of 31 apartments, and the Bayburt state came in third place with the sale of 44 apartments.

Sales of new apartments increased by 22.2%

In a related context, sales of new apartments during January of this year amounted to 27,203 apartments, achieving an increase of 22.2% compared to sales of the same month of the previous year 2021, and the percentage of sales of new apartments reached 30.8% of the general sales of apartments in Turkey during January of this year.

As for used apartments, their sales during January of this year amounted to 61,103 apartments, achieving an increase of 26.5% compared to sales of used apartments during the same month of the previous year 2021, and 69.2% of the general sales of apartments in Turkey during January of this year.

Mortgage sales increased by 69%

As for the sales of mortgaged apartments, the number of mortgaged apartments sold in Turkey during January of this year reached 18,183 apartments, achieving an increase of 69.4% compared to the sales of mortgaged apartments during the same month of the past year 2021, and the percentage of mortgaged apartments reached sold 20.6% of the total number of apartments sold in Turkey during January of this year.

While sales of non-mortgage apartments during January of this year amounted to 70,123 apartments, 79.4% of the general sales of apartments during the mentioned month.
