Turkey sells more than 4,000 apartments to foreigners in the first month of 2023

According to official data issued by the Turkish Statistical Institute, the number of residential apartments sold to foreigners during the first month of this year reached 4,161 apartments, marking a slight decrease of 0.6% compared to apartment sales to foreigners during the first month of last year.

The percentage of foreign sales during the first month of January this year accounted for 4.3% of the total general sales of residential apartments across Turkey.

Antalya tops Turkish provinces in sales to foreigners

According to the details of the data issued by the Turkish Statistical Institute, Antalya ranked first among the Turkish provinces with the highest sales of residential apartments to foreigners during January 2023, with 1,592 apartments sold. Istanbul came in second place with 1,380 apartments sold, while Mersin ranked third with 331 apartments sold.

Russians lead the nationalities buying the most apartments in Turkey

Regarding the classification of foreign nationalities according to the volume of their purchases of residential apartments in Turkey, Russians ranked first among the foreign nationalities buying the most residential apartments in the country during January 2023, with 1,557 apartments purchased. Iranians came in second with 526 apartments purchased, while Iraqis ranked third with 229 apartments purchased.
