According to statistics issued by the Turkish Statistics Authority, real estate sales in Turkey to foreigners have achieved significant growth, with the number of apartments sold to foreigners during February of this year more than 4,500 apartments.

Residential apartments sales to foreigners increased by 54.9% during February 2022
According to data issued by the Turkish Statistics Authority, the number of apartments sold to foreigners during February of this year reached 4,591 apartments, achieving an increase of 54.9%, compared to sales of the same month last year 2021.
The percentage of foreign sales during February of this year reached 4.7% of the total general sales of apartments throughout Turkey.
Istanbul tops the Turkish states in foreign sales
In the details of the data, the state of Istanbul ranked first among the Turkish states that sold apartments to foreigners, during February of 2022 with the sale of 1,958 apartments, achieving progress of 10.55%, over its sales to foreigners during January of this year.
Antalya ranked second with 1,099 apartments sold, an increase of 20.24% over its sales during January this year.
The Turkish capital, Ankara, comes in third place with the sale of 288 apartments, achieving a 7% increase over its sales during January of this year.

Iranians top foreign nationalities in buying real estate
With regard to the classification of foreign nationalities according to their purchases of residential apartments in Turkey, Iranians ranked first as the most foreign nationalities buying apartments in Turkey, during February 2022 with the purchase of 711 apartments.
The Iraqis came in second with the purchase of 633 apartments, and the Russians came in third place with the purchase of 509 apartments, and the purchase numbers of the 20 nationalities who purchased the most were as follows:
