Real estate sales in Turkey cross the two million mark during 2021

Real estate sales in Turkey exceed two million in the first nine months

According to data issued by the General Directorate of Land Registry and Real Estate Survey in Turkey, the number of properties sold throughout Turkey during September of this year reached 316,818 properties, an increase of 2.86% compared to sales of the same month last year.

The volume of income resulting from the title deed expenses of sales transactions during the month of September of this year amounted to two billion and 209 million and 892 thousand TL.

According to the mentioned data, real estate sales in Turkey in general during the first nine months of this year amounted to two million and 118 thousand and 936 properties, and the title deed expenses resulting from these sales achieved an income of 14 billion and 483 million and 486,736 TL.

Apartments are the most popular type of property sold during the first nine months

Statistical data issued by the Land Registry Directorate in Turkey announced the types of properties sold throughout Turkey, during the first nine months of this year, as the ranking of properties sold in Turkey was as follows:

• Residential apartments ranked first, with 919,972 apartments sold.
• Agricultural lands ranked second with 573,982 agricultural lands sold.
• Construction lands ranked third with 375,986 construction lands.
• Commercial real estate ranked fourth, with sales of 93,649 commercial properties.

Istanbul tops the Turkish states in real estate sales

The General Directorate of Land Registry and Real Estate Survey in Turkey mentioned the details related to the arrangement of the Turkish states that sold the most real estate during the first nine months of this year, as follows:

• Istanbul ranks first in the percentage of sales, which amounted to 265,419 properties.
• The Turkish capital, Ankara, ranks second in the rate of real estate sales with 141,698 properties.
• Izmir ranks third in terms of the number of real estate sales with 98,330 properties.
