The residential apartment market in Turkey witnessed significant activity last year, as confirmed by the steadily increasing public sales figures month after month. The reported percentages and data reached their highest levels in the last month of the mentioned year, both domestically and internationally.

The annual sales figures varied between provinces depending on their status in the Turkish apartment market. Istanbul led the provinces with the highest sales, followed by Ankara and then Antalya.

Regarding the districts within the provinces, Esenyurt in Istanbul topped the list of Turkish districts with the highest apartment sales last year, followed by Alanya in Antalya in second place, while Çankaya in the Turkish capital Ankara took third place.

Istanbul Districts Leading Apartment Sales in 2022

According to data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute, Esenyurt ranked first among Istanbul's districts in apartment sales last year, with 36,315 apartments sold. Beylikdüzü was second with 13,417 apartments sold, and Başakşehir came third with 10,887 apartments sold during the past year.

Changes in Apartment Prices in Turkish Provinces in 2022

A report by the "Endeksa" real estate platform monitored the increase in apartment prices in Turkey's top apartment-selling districts last year. Three districts in Antalya topped all Turkish regions in terms of price increase. Muratpaşa ranked first with a 212% increase in apartment prices last year, followed by Kepez with a 202% increase, while Alanya came third with a 189% increase.

The fourth place was shared by Pendik and Umraniye in Asian Istanbul, with apartment price increases of 188% during 2022.
