Real estate investment in Turkey achieves the best returns among investments

The real estate appraisal expert for one of the active real estate companies in Istanbul (Anıl Ünlü) indicated that "real estate investment in the last five years has achieved the highest return compared to other investment fields."

Mr. Ünlü added: "When we check the data of the last year in the real estate sector, we notice that prices are decreasing and increasing according to demand, and in the period in which the highest returns are obtained compared to other areas of investment, and that the most important reason for preferring real estate investment over others is the general demand for it has increased.

Increasing apartment prices in Istanbul

Speaking about the rise in apartment prices, Mr. Ünlü said that "in 2011, a house consisting of three rooms and a hall (3+1) with an area of ​​120 square meters in Kadikoy was about 365,000 TL and in the (Göztepe) a similar house in about 385,000 TL, and another in (Kartal) about 320,000 TL.

Mr. Ünlü indicated that as of 2022, the price of a house consisting of three rooms and a hall (3+1) with an area of ​​120 square meters in Kadikoy has reached 4,320,000 TL, in Göztepe 4,440,000 TL, and in Kartal, it has reached 2,040,000 TL.

The secret behind the high price of real estate

This led to the fact that the investors who bought houses in Kadikoy and Göztepe, did not suffer any loss in the value of the houses, while property depreciation was observed in the Kartal district in istanbul.

Mr. Ünlü explained that "this situation shows that those who will make real estate investments can provide higher returns when they choose areas with high development potential compared to other areas planned for development, but in the long run."
