Turkey is preparing to receive more than 53 million tourists in 2023

Deputy Chairman of the Union of Operators and Workers in the Turkish Hotel Sector, Mehmet İsler, confirmed that Turkey witnessed the current year 2022 as an exceptional summer tourist season, noting that this success prepares the country to reach the biggest goal next year, as Turkey aspires to receive more than 53 million tourists in 2023.
In an interview with the Turkish Anadolu Agency, İşler said that the success achieved by Turkey in the current summer season for the tourism sector is due to the great cooperation between the public and private sectors to find innovative and effective solutions to problems and crises.
The Vice-President of the Federation of Operators and Workers in the Turkish Hotel Sector stated that they are in the process of organizing tourist offers prepared by specialists aimed at increasing the number of European tourists during the next year.
Mehmet Işler added that the current statistics of reservations for the winter tourism season for the current year have recorded an increase of 25% compared to the previous year, stressing that Europeans have made Turkey a tourist destination for them in order to escape from the high prices and costs of living in Europe.
European turnout will be at its peak in the coming months
In a related context, Isler stated that the period from November of this year to April of next year will be the most active in tourism, adding that Turkish tourism offers have attracted great interest from European countries, led by Britain, Germany, and the Netherlands.
He explained that the majority of the tourist offers offered to provide an ideal vacation for two weeks at competitive prices in major tourist areas in Turkey, such as Istanbul, Antalya, and Izmir.
